Recently, Zhejiang Plastic Machinery Industry Association convened the kick-off meeting for Technical Requirements for Electric Pre-plasticizing Units of Plastic Injection Molding Machines. TUP (Taiwan Union Plastic), alongside several leading enterprises in the plastic machinery sector, was invited to participate in the event.

Some may wonder: What is the purpose of formulating Technical Requirements for Electric Pre-plasticizing Units of Plastic Injection Molding Machines? Why is this standard necessary?
In essence, this project aims to ensure the quality, performance reliability, and safety of electric pre-plasticizing units for injection molding machines, while standardizing their design and manufacturing processes . This initiative will help regulate production workflows, enhance product competitiveness, and accelerate the industry’s transition toward green and low-carbon development .
In the absence of existing national or industrial standards, the group standard Technical Requirements for Electric Pre-plasticizing Units of Plastic Injection Molding Machines – with TUP’s active participation in its formulation – will fill a critical gap in the industry’s standardization framework.
The implementation of this standard is expected to significantly improve mechanical transmission efficiency and control precision, outperforming the widely used oil motor solutions . It will substantially reduce customers’ energy consumption and operational costs while elevating the quality of injection-molded products.

Looking ahead, TUP will continue to actively engage in the drafting and formulation of more industry standards!
“Standard” with TUP witnesses the company’s unwavering pursuit of technological advancement.
